I'm in railway operations planning, which simplifying it quite a lot is planning the day-to-day train service around Network Rail digging big holes in the track, making sure all the trains are in the right places, that they have drivers to drive them, that they'll have a platform to go into when they get to London, that they won't hit or get in the way of another train at any point on their route, that the depots aren't filled with more stock than they can cope with, etc. etc.

Unfortunately it's all too easy to cause big delays (at £x per minute) with a pretty small error, so there's quite a bit of pressure involved to get everything right!

We were only allowed 'em in deepest dark 'ampshire a couple of years ago, when they were able to guarantee a constant electric supply! They must've caught on quickly down there! Andy - as I suspected, I wonder if Ben will remember to strip out the inside of the door first, and give it to you as it should be... I struggle to remember if they are pristine, but they'll certainly scrub up well enough! As for the manager, a quick polish and a tweak of the upper nuts usually sees her through!
