I had to work which was a real bind but then sloped off early into London for a bit of a knees up and to attend the fourth Douglas Adams Memorial Lecture in Kensington. You can't beat the combination of Fullers and Shepherd Neame, followed by Sir Robert Winston! I'm now supping on some Glennfarclas 21 y.o. that my housemates very kindly bought me....
So, yes, quite a boozy birthday but also educational and all-round family entertainment. Shame I'm 27 though, I could cope with 18, then 21 but 27 is all a bit too close to the big 3-0!
