  • Long Winter Nights...

So we're almost in the time of year where we spend more time in darkness than light - and pray that the heater in the car will still work on the frosty mornings. (although we have yet to have a frost up here yet...)

I was wondering what all your opinions were about this time of year... Are you a big kid that cant wait for the snow....or do you prefer sunbathing to getting the de-icer out?

I personally cant wait for the snow and the numb fingers that come with snowball fights!!!

    Here's a suitably seasonal photo...

    Yaayy.

Can't wait to get GGT out in the snow for some nice piccies. Some with RVJ would be great!

But, will GGT ever get out of the garage again this year???

    Place your bets....

Anyway, here's my personal favourite RVJ photo - looks like it belongs in a Maestro brochure!

    Steve.

Well, I couldn't stand the heat in summer when under asbestos in the garage, and now it's cold, I can't go out in there. Mind you, lately when it's not been blowing or raining, it has been quite mild, but then there's not enough daylight.
When I get Lynz back on the road, (or get a well lit, centrally heated garage - whichever comes first) I will not care what the weather will be like!

I'd like the summer back, please. At the moment, all the time it's light I'm stuck in an office and slippery rail conditions have been causing hell for me. There's not much going on at weekends this time of year either

Incidentally, some very nice photos posted above - well done to the photographers! Particularly like those of Rich's car. Do you have full size versions (ie. 1024x768)?

              Yeah, summer please!

Long evenings where you can work on your motor until you've actually finished a job rather than going inside because it's too dark/cold. It's also far too windy of late which means I'm more likely to be infront of the GameCube than the Maestro!

Summer driving is also much better, dry, warm roads sunroof open, windows down, you don't get a liberal dousing of water on your car evey morning either.

Added to that women wear much less in the summer

PS Congratulations on your 1,200th post Simon....

                  Yes.

However, not pictured are two very muddy dogs that had to go home in the car later on! i didnt stay that shiny all day. Perhaps messy pets are the only downside to winter?

                    Summer of course...

Although autumn can be nice (see picture - sunroof opened), and sun was more to be seen then rain this year... Bring back the summer!

Tough one..I like winter because of:
                        Low light levels-sensitive eyes
                        Nice scenery
                        Crisp air
                        Snow driving(!)
                        More power from the engine
                        Feels festive

                        I like summer because:
                        I like a certain temperature
It's brighter, and I suffer with SAD, so depression tends to set in at winter in the dark
I can work on the car in comfort.

I'm torn. Both have their good points.
