before when i looked at posts ,or not they would allways move into the post read area after i had been away ,
now it no longer does this, it does not matter how long i have been away the posts are still waiting to be read.
    does this make any sence.
can i alter my setting to go back to the way it was,
    is this just me?

I do, i was getting sick of leaving the pc and returning to find all the posts marked read - thus forgetting what i have and haven't read.

If you mark all posts as read, then click on the 'new posts' button, it gives you the option of seeing the new posts from the last 24hours anyway.

Incidentally Tony, your membership has expired.

                  i know thanks

but does it change what the op was about?
are all expired memberships going to be posted on a open forum?
a pm would have been a lot more diplomatic
