I'm usually up for Christmas, but am I alone in not feeling very festive this year?

Regardless, I hope all of you have a great one. See you all next year.

I think it's due to being very busy with work commitments, didn't get time to put up any decorations so the house feels bare. Having to do Christmas shopping at the eleventh hour also didn't help.

I remember about 10yrs ago being totally unfestive , no decorations hot chili for lunch a few beers and watched the entire series of cold war (not normally the day to watch mushroom clouds and visions of the apocalypse!!) But it wasn't a bad day.
Cheer up oli it will soon be spring
Hope you all had a good day, merry Christmas

With young children Christmas is a big deal. I don't have children so it is less of a fuss. To increase the weirdness our family meal has been for the past few years on christmas eve so for the past few christmas days I've worked on my car!!

When you don't have all the things you want, you need to make the most of your time. As when you have everything you wanted, often you'll never have enough time.

I remember when I was about 19 getting a janspeed exhaust and manifold for my MG metro as my present from my mum and dad and spending most of the day fitting it! Mum wasn't impressed with me sitting down for lunch with oiley finger nails. She and most of the neighbour's were totally unimpressed when I used a grinder on the inlet manifold. Good job it was fairly quiet when I had to set it up!!
