  • MG 'M' Group 2006 Events Calendar

The MG 'M' Group has recently updated the events calendar so it now shows all our events for 2006. Some of these are still to be confirmed but the following are worth noting in your diaries:
    • 29th January - Autojumble at Shepton Mallett
    • 19th February - Stoneleigh International MG and Spares Day
    • 30th April - GB Family Car Meet and Auction, Exeter (for all British Cars)
    • 11th June - Bristol Classic Car Show
    • 2nd July - MG Saloon Day at Lamport and Northampton Railway

If you are interested in any of these e-mail me or visit the club's website - www.mgcars.org.uk/mgm

I'm not following what you mean, Gareth?

Good idea to hold the event somewhere that has an attraction such as a Railway. Looking at the cars at the show is all well and good, but it's nice to see some other things too, like grounds at a stately home, or such as what there will be at MGSD 2006. I know some of us rather enjoyed a swift walk around the classic bike show that neighboured MGSD 2005!

People with Austin's like steam trains, those with MG's like girls arses and tits.

( the above is a joke for people with a normal sense of humour)

Sounds like a right bunch of arses and tits to me.

All in the name of humour, you see...

Not sure I'll be attending many shows next year as it happens. Will have to wait and see if this will be one of them.

              Venue change

Lamport and Northampton Railway was chosen for the following reasons:
              • It is a popular venue for classic car shows
              • People like a change of venue every couple of years
              • People have asked for other attractions at MG Saloon Day
              • There is also a Real Ale Pub on site selling food all day (another request)
              • It is a central location
              • There is a tradition of MG events at Railways (like MGs and Steam at Tenterden)

The train rides will be optional and there will be all the usual stuff there including the traders and autojumble for those people who have requested that.

Does that mean you'll be attending the day before or the day after then.
                    Just wondering!

Looking forward to it already. MG-Saloon day is always one of the best shows of the year!
