I read it though, it was just John saying great idea and creating a similar group for his area. Perhaps he changed his mind.

Easy enough in theory. What would you want to change though?

Which forums allow larger avatars? I think if you make them much larger than the default your eye will be drawn to the avatars rather than the page content, also page loading times.

Can we have the links for the gallery/ads/forum home back along the top bar? They were really useful!

Nothing sinister...I created a group called "Lancashire & Cheshire" enthusiasts group which I felt embodied a sense of 'belonging' and county patriotism, much lost on this side of the pennines since 1974. But this was somewhat usurped by the "North West" group created by Richard Gelder some time later, so I deleted it.

Seconded, it doesn't look like they exist at the moment.

I've been trying to sort out a means of fitting them all in without cluttering up the menu bar, but so far I've completely failed to find time to look at it properly.

Ideally a website shouldn't need two separate menu systems, but I use those links too so I know what you mean.

When we tidy the headings up on the time and add the classifieds and gallery direct links in. Can we make them to be all under a drop down list so as not to clutter the menu bar up (drop down like the quick links button). It would also be nice to have a link which said "home" or similar which directs us to the website pages.
Should fit in fine with the suggestions above.

                      Themes

I've just come across the new Brown/Beige format in the theme-selection - Bloody excellent! Just needs a couple more cheesy 80s colour combos to choose from.

I should stress at this point that the new theme is just a test. You weren't supposed to find it! It's been active but hidden for a while now, but I needed to make it visible so that other people (apart from just me and Jonathan) could see it. I think I made that change this morning, or late last night, so I wasn't expecting anyone to see it that quickly

Really it's just an experiment to see how easy it would be to come up with various colour schemes reflecting various BL/Austin/MG/Rover colours. Beige/brown was natural for me since I've just acquired a car in those colours, but other great colour combos like grey/red MG styling, chocolate lime, Prussian blue, etc. spring to mind. Shantung gold or silver leaf might be a bit more challenging though

The header images are also a bit of a 'challenge'. It's nice to have our logo up there on top, but it's a slightly awkward size to deal with. The images of the cars on the right though is a random cycle of images, intended to be a 'showcase' for different models and members' cars.

Anyway, the feature may change in the near future, or the theme may change dramatically, so be warned!

Thanks for your praise thus far!
