    hi all
my first car was acctually a mk2 escort harrier very rare took it to a few shows had it a few years then got bored with the power and boy racer look also when you picked up a bird it was a bit awkward in the back with the roll cage but that was way back in my youth (looking back what i could of done with that roll cage oh well!!!)
i traded the ford in for a rover 220 gti 2 door leather seats all electric luvly jubbly still pulling the birds with a bit of power still and xtra comfort even a sun roof for xtra height
that blew up on me cam belt went so did the engine ouch
    got payed out by isurance
i then decided i wanted more comfort with appliances so i found a maestro tandy campervan i am proud to be english but allways have tryed to buy british which doing both today is very hard to do
this campervan was being looked after a gaurd dog it was his home what was he gaurding
vw campervans yes i know dirty dog
he was a dirty dog hairs and smells all over the place
i drove it back from london no tax no mot no congestion charge 10 years ago i did have insurance,in them days if you got a tug all you got was two weeks to produce by that time mot and tax could be done
cleaned it up went touring all over england
never let me down turned over every day found some history on it very interesting
had the vehicle for over ten years, two years it was of the road as i had a buissness i was selling
started first time what a beauty got her back on the road fitted new kitchen bit of welding needed engine cleaned up
ready for touring this year was going to go to a few meetings also was even going to try and save that maestro in malta (nutter)
i took the tandy to a job just to test drive it out see if any problems the only one i had was a fat man who works for kings ferry coaches decided to run in the side of me and toatly recked my van
so now i started buying all vans off ebay and picked out the best ones as i want the camper to re live
i just sold a white one, ive got a red turbo 700 as a shed at the minute, and the main camper is going to be a 500 kreg as the body has no welding on it apperantly the man paul out of tv series life of grime the rat catcher used to own it?
since my accident ive received major back trouble and the reliving is taking a bit longer hence the time ive got to type this autbiography im sure you will read it quicker than ived typed it
theres alot happened in between all of this which i am sure we can pick up over the time

    all the best

have not met anyone in the many years i have had a tandy
seen one used by a painter in croydon totaly stripped out
another was down in eastbourne i just turned into a lane driving a lorry and there it was coming towards me
if i was in something faster i would of turned round and been a nutter and chased them down

talking about turbos do you think its a good idea to put a turbo in a tandy camper ive got one on the drive called duk its red bodys the usual was going to keep it but will have to sell know as ive got another maestro van called maggie well ive had both for about a year now i just move them about to confuse the trouble and strife so the old ear dont get abused about being a pikey yard
