  • Hi, New Maestro Owner Here.

Just a quick hello and to say what a great site this is. I have recently purchased a Maestro 1.3HLE as a first restoration project, first registered on the 18th of May 1983, she has covered just 24000 miles. Immaculate inside with a small amount of exterior work required. A couple of little querkies include the origional dealers sticker in the rear window, also having refurbished the wheels and replacing the perished tyres was told the Dunlops removed were the origionals off the production line. She still has her origional exhaust system, and auto choke, econometer still working and has never been converted to run on unleaded. I'm lucky enough to have found it in 100% original condition. Photos to follow shortly and looking forward to chatting along with you all.

The pics show the origional set of tyres off the production line!!! Wheels have now been refurbed and new Dunlops fitted. Origional exhaust needs replacing at the rear. Cheap enough to replace the whole lot. With a little luck and slight cosmetic work I hope to do my very first show with her. Aiming for Corbridge show on the 7th of July as its pretty local to me. Do any members show their cars at this show? It is organised by mg northumbria i believe.

That looks stunning, and a real rarity on a Y plate. It looks totally unmessed with, no one has eveb yet bothered to fit a passenger side mirror!

Links are not working for me. Sounds like a mint car though
