Somehow the fuel pump delivered the wrong pressure.
Put in a new one and she started immediately.

      Do you know it's history

My first car was a LHD black 2.0....B registered BFG until it went onto Heinsberg (HS) plates in about 90.

Maybe it is the same one, there can't have been too many about.
I have never seen a LHD version before and I have been looking for cars in Germany for more than 20years.

The Maestro passed TÜV (German MOT) today with no advisories.
Hopefully I'll be able to register it this friday.

Nice car! I think I have seen this advertised.

But it is not the only one... My father still has has the red 2.0EFi bought new in 1986. We have the later dash and the revised engine though - and well over 300000kms. A friend had to scrap a very similar, early one in red, which had to be scrapped after we did not find anyone to take it on.

                They really are great crars!

as far as I know, it is the only LHD MG Maestro in Germany.
It is a 1985 2.0 with 94.000kms on the clock and close to no rust.
The only problem is, it won't start...
Alexander Boucke from Aachen has an MG Maestro 1600 (and a couple of others). Yours looks nice, I live in Belgium and also have an MG Maestro 2.0 efi

I do like the original alloys! Better than the pepper pot ones to my eyes.

There is/was a LHD 2.0 EFI for sale in Spain, silver blue, you could probably get it for about + - £500 has 200.000 kms on clock.

Ok, the registration office gave me the info that there is only one registered 2.0 EFI in germany.
By the way the link to your website is not working.
