  • New GAZ shocks came today don't look right at top mount?

    order these GAZ shocks 4 weeks ago came today top mount doesn't look like mine? anyone else fitted them do i use my own top mounting cap

    yes, you'll need to do something as the top cup need bearings



    My ledas had them from new so they must be available somewhere, or if you can just fit the standard bearings ontop of their aluminum cup? They will be bolted down and the top bush will stop any movement.

    I'd give them a bell and ask as it will probably be a while since they made any for a maestro. They made some for me last year but only a rear set.

      do i just need the bearing cap for the front? is the back direct fit?

        there is no steering on the rear so no need for bearings.

          rang them up they said my top bearing from the maestro just fits over they cap?

                      It'll be interesting how you get on fitting them and how they perform. Thanks for the link - probably go down the same route if your set is OK. Corner weights could be difficult to set up on your own?

                        I have them at the back, very good and highly adjustable. I'd recommend gaz as a company to deal with. They serviced my leda front units too, very quick and fair pricing.

                        Corner weighting is easy on your own. but you do need the right kit!
