  • URGENT: Handbrake Problem

I put my handbrake on and the front cable snapped. Can anyone tell me if when the cable snaps whilst pulling the lever, is the handbrake on the rear brakes applied or do they relaxed?

I'm parked on a hill and left her in gear so I don't want to move her as we are driving south for the holidays tomorrow.

    Cheers

If its snapped the hand brake will be OFF.

Id park it on the flat, or chock it to be extra safe.

        re-hand brake

its not to hard to change but find out what part of the handbrake cable as broken.as it comes in 3 parts and any section that is broken you will have no handbrake at all.even a broken clip on the rear sections will caused no hand brake to be applied
