  • water pipe

Does anyone know where I can obtain a water pipe that connects 2 hoses that run underneath the radiator on a maestro 1300.

good luck as ive seached high and low.
.some use aluminium vaccumme pipe.ive got a idea to use a short lenghth of stainless steel pipe swaged both ends and a early 1.6 bottom hose with a bend.
and cut and plug the heater hose off with a 16mm bolt and use a juberlee clip.
a 32mm p clip to fix pipe to the bottom cross member.
ive not done it yet so fingers crossed

      pipe

Ive done it on my MG 1600 with 32mm copper, and had no problems without the ends being rolled, and normal jubilee clips.

I've had a replacement pipe on my 1300 for years.
I took my pipe to a vacuum cleaner repair shop. He gave me a cut to measure and slightly bent pipe. It was from a hoover extension that you use to get into the high corners.
I used some clips and instant gasket to connect them all together. It has been on my 1300 for about four years now and had no problems at all.
The good thing about this fix is that you can always get spares.
