Alternator

need an alternator for my 1.3 maestro anyone got a spare ?
the book states 55amp but will 45amp or 65amp be ok
what differance does the amperage make

55 is standard. 65amp was fitted to the bigger engined (and police 1.3's). Lucas type A127 - 55A or 65A are the ones you are after. A very common alternator.
