  • Turbo fuel tank leak, need help!

    Hi,
My '86 Montego Turbo needs a new fuel tank. I hope anybody can help me with:

    1) Part number, I think I need CRC9291 but do others also fit?
    2) Where to get one? (No problem if I need to ship from UK to NL)

I'm really a bit desparate as the rest of the car is in very good order! Pic added.
    Thanks a lot again!

    regards
    Guus

Has it got around the seam? I brought some fuel tank sealant for mine to stop this happening but soon realised it would probably junk up the pickup / plastic sieve in the swirl pot. If there's a way around that you can probably save the tank you've got.

Two of our local car radiator repair places also repair tanks. They cut a section out clean the inside and weld it back up. Worth trying your local radiator shop?

        Thanks for the advice.

A new fuel tank CRC9295 was still available with one of the Dutch ex MGR dealers and has now been fitted.

Would that be 'Damen and Kroes" ?

Need a small fortune just to look at what they have in stock.
