fuel tank

Hi hope someone can help me,I am starting to put my mg Montego Turbo back together and I have got hold of a nearly new diesel fuel tank from an estate which is mint.Question will it fit or not I have looked around and have not been able to find out

It'll physically fit in the hole although the pipework may well be different. I've done the conversion the other way round using a petrol tank for a diesel car, and then eventually it was turned into a turbo petrol. So it isn't impossible to make it work.
