Can somebody help me with this.I had fitted new rear bearings when the car was off the road but they have both failed already big time outer on one side had come apart.I used QH bearings which should have been o.k.Is it possible that i fitted them wrong this time and when it says thrust side out it means outside of the car not facing the back plate it is the only thing i could have got wrong. Please help i have waited two years to use it and it is off the road already
    thanks Mick

Thrust side needs to face outwards away from the wheel centre. i.e. on the opposite side to the spacer between the bearings. On the outermost one thrust should point away from the car. On the inner most one thrust should point towards the car centreline I think. It is all pretty obvious when it is infront of you. .

The bearings shouldn't be done up very tight at all (just a bit over hand tight). If you do them up tight then they'll fail quickly.
