Shows what little I know about car tuning, that sounds to me like something you'd do to a radio!

Been a while since this was updated and Gooony had a face lift before this July's RS Combe. A full respray is planned later on in the year

Little vid on track, including loosing the back end on oil after leaving the pits

Some changes are happening (although a broken rib is going to slow me down getting them done)

                  New lightweight dash
                  Complete rewire of the car
                  Poly carb rear window
                  New rear bumper and diffuser
                  Wilwood pedal box
                  CP5200 calipers, bells and rotors
Change of cams and cam timing
                  More boost
Relocation of oil and turbo cooler
                  Electric water pump

All the changes to the shell are to reduce weight by shortening cable runs, pipe & hose lengths, lighter materials etc as the engine is getting near the limits of power we can effectively put through the front wheels

Should be over 420bhp per ton when complete

He stripped it and bought a ZR, there's a build thread on RoverTech that's recently been updated. You may need to register to see it.

I believe another chap bought the Goon shell and is rebuilding it.

It is myself that now has the gooon. I'm currently building a forged T16 engine for it. Once I get the block back from the machine shop I'll start a build thread of my progress. Not much happened yet other than collecting a few bits and pieces.

I know the ZR is a close relative of the the Maestro but having owned both the maestro is so much easier to work on. When I had the ZR the rad needed changing, oh a 10min job I thought. No half a bloody day, you can't undo the slam panel like you can on the maestro.
I'm glad this shell has gone to a good owner and will see the light of day again
