Anyone know of a direct fit front spring upgrade (derv maybe?) from standard 2.0efi. I don't want to lower it, I just want it stiffer. It's too soft now, dives under braking, and rolls quite a bit.
Thanks
Turbo and van are about the only stiffer springs from memory.
You can get stiffer ones made if you really want to.
ok. Update...springs are good...shocks however, are, well shocking! But not in the correct way. Anyone have any front shocks I can buy? Preferably an uprated one or known good standard ones. Diesel? Would they fit?
The two important things to look for with the shocks are the measurement between spring pan bottom and one of the bolt holes on the bottom of the unit (I can never remember which one it is!). There are two sizes of front strut 264mm and 250mm from memory. Make sure you get the same size as you remove otherwise you'll alter the ride height.
There are also gas and oil filled options. The former is the better, but much less common to find. Anything will be better than old duff ones.
