          You need to remove it from the car first. All cracks can be repaired with gluing the piece together then gluing material on the top of it. As per thread 14 of my how to, before you glue the headlining material to it.

            I have removed it now. What about the big chunks that are missing from the edges? I don't think the photos show the full extent of the damage?? There are several 3" sections missing.

                  You can fill in with cardboard as its not seen. Cut cardboard to fit, glue in and glue some material over the back of any repair to strengthen, then re-cover it.
                  I have done one previous that was very damaged, had pieces snapped off, cracked in half but it didn't show once I'd finished. So it can be done

                      is £200 too much to pay for a new lining? it did include going round a sun roof.

                          Did you put new lining on or just re-glue the existing?

                            This from a trimming company or a NOS one that includes the whole thing?
                            A trimming company costs about that to do your headlining
