Yes that's the engine wiring harness part numbers for turbo. First two part numbers are for the black ignition ECU, facelift is for the facelift silver ECU as that's a completely different connection....

You need to get at it from underneath. If you've removed the seat back from the base.
Unclip the plastic strips under the seat back and using long plyers you can squeeze the two stays together and push out the insert.
I'm not sure if the pictures I put up when I added lumbar support are...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 24th April 2025, 14:21.

Sound very much like a fuel issue, is the fuel pump working correctly, is there enough fuel in the petrol tank. Remove the fuel pipe to the carb and put in an empty container, an old coke plastic bottle should do then turn the car over. Do you have a nice fuel flow going into the container?

I have found the part numbers for an engine loom but I don't think it will help you much as all are probably no longer available
Early HAM3650
Mid HAM3868
Facelift with the silver ECU is YSB10028...

Every car with an ECU has a different configuration for that model. Just because they look the same doesn't mean the internals are the same. Early turbos had 2 ECUs, one fuel one ignition from memory, later all in one .I don't have the knowledge to put all into one ECU but many specialist companies...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 18th April 2025, 17:16.

No it won't work properly, it will start it but it won't run as it should. There are 2 ECU's, fuel and ignition, which one do you mean?...

Heads back in as are all the other parts. As my last manifold gasket in the set was a turbo one I've ordered one off Sean so once that's arrived I can carry on...

Would love to go but a bit too far for me. I will be at POL though if anyone is going and it's not pissing down. Any chance of putting up this years list John?...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 16th April 2025, 15:16.

Was a warped head on that quarter of it, my own fault for not getting it skimmed when I had to replace the headgasket the first time. Mind you I didn't know I would have many more problems with it at the time, oh well it's happened now. Valves lapped in and all put together now with new oil and stem...

Yeah it is, I've cleaned up the valves and will test what I can hopefully later in the week. Will put two two at the end in a drill etc. I could also lap the valves in before having the head skimmed to check if all's well there...

I've had another look at the bores and none are scratched or anything like that and all are smooth , I have left a small puddle or wd40 in all bores just to make sure though, all drained about the same so I'm guessing the piston rings are ok. I used to know this sort of basic stuff but seem to be searching...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 14th April 2025, 17:40.

Bores look ok to me but will have another closer look later in the week when I get the chance.
I've cleaned up all the valves etc and found the head gasket set I had left including new stem seals so after I've dropped the head off I can look more at the bores, they didn't look scored or anything...

The issue is on this bore, it's clean with no soot at all as is the head with no compression also on that bore. The others are between 110 and 115 but this one is 20,so I removed the head and stripped it down to be skimmed. I will also change the stem seals as I have plenty of those and clean up the...

Can't help with that but part numbers are CAM9731 and UAM3655 for the oil filler pipe, you could always block off the oil pipe opening with a metal plate and gasket and put your existing cam covers on the new engine head so the oil will drain into the sump that way? Cam carrier and front cam cover are...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 13th April 2025, 11:27.

Change the ignition ecu and no change with the temp gauge, from memory that's controlled by the fuel ecu but could be wrong as I'm forgetting things these days, been a long time and atm I can't find a spare, did have a couple but I remember giving one to Ray awhile ago. Changed the breather and lots...
