Tailgate Wanted

Hi, I need a good rot free tailgate to get my MG Maestro back on the road, doesn’t need to be an MG one, just rust free. Many thanks.

You might get lucky. I got hold of a less rusty (but still in need of repair) tailgate which is currently at a body shop being welded and sprayed. After that I'll have to drill it to mount the spoiler.

You're welcome to have my old one afterwards but it's full of rust and filler...

Cheers, I’m holding out for a good one really; I could get the old one repaired but it’s very rusty and I don’t think there would be much good metal to weld to!

Thanks for the offer, I looked everywhere for one and eventually got one from Portugal! It came in a box rust free and surprisingly the window was still intact!

Blimey well done. I picked up my tailgate from the body shop yesterday, £500 after welding and painting. Bet yours was a bit more reasonable! Is it the right colour?

Looks like a nice job. Spraying mine myself, I hope it looks that good! Does anyone know if the MG and 2.0i stickers in red are still available please or do you have to get custom ones made? Cheers
