Very rare to see on the road now this MG was owned by an MG enthusiast who took great care of her very little to do on her to bring her to show winning form as she has very little rust on her.

Manual sunroof, manual 5 speed, none power steering model so very little to go wrong, unmarked MG sports interior, comes with a spare set of staggered MG wheels and the digital speedo meter and the talking computer, full documented service history record.

I had a 2 litre MG Maestro with digi-dash. I bought it as an ex demo in 1986. - C800 CKL.

Is it just me or has this car been badly repainted with different shades of white on the doors, badly repaired rear arches and rusty sills?

The pictures don't match the description (or the price).

                    White Maestro in Luton

                    Hi Matthew

Looking at the photos I can see some possible rust on some of the door bottoms and/or sills, but can't see obvious problems with arches from the photos (maybe your eyesight is better than mine)

Based on your comments, what would you say is a fair price for the car?

The arch has been repaired - probably with a repair panel. This doesn't look rusty. Above the arch where it meets the scallop, there are bubbles of rust and in the picture attached, it looks like the panel near the repair has been filled very roughly. Maybe it's a bad photo but it looks like a pretty rough repair. In addition the sills are rusty as are the doors.

As to value, I'd hate to say as values are clearly on the rise. Rough examples are now fetching the sort of money previously reserved for unmarked cars. However this car needs more money spent on it for it to look smart than the £1500 they are asking for it.
