I remember Saloon Days when there were rows of MG Maestro's, you can't tell me all those cars have just vanished?

It wasn't pre-booking only. Just you paid extra on the gate if it wasn't a pre-booked one (I think that was on the original adverts anyhow).

With 2 weeks to go the organisers announced (on Facebook) that it was now prebooked only due to only having space for 200 cars.

Aha. Perhaps my memory isn't as bad as I thought it was! There is space at the venue for many many more cars if you ask for it (and the ground is dry). As they have a big grassy area which we used for the R200 21st birthday bash. We had a couple of hundred cars at that and there was space for a couple of hundred more

Pity that wasn't made apparent weeks before the event & or with the events advertising? A lesson for the future I guess!
