    Another mod I can see has been done (by you?) which I fully agree with is replacing the awful Maestro rubber bonnet-stops at each side of the slam-panel with Montego ones. For a company so interested in shaving pennies off the cost of things, you'd think that would be something else they would have standardised across the two cars to save costs.

                  Well spotted - I always replace the standard ones with these ones which are Montego ones, but also specified for the Maestro diesel. As it came, the SL didn't have any bonnet buffers anyway. BL's "cost saving" measures are indeed quite amusing at times.

                    That handle has travelled quite a bit to get it back to me
