Cylinder head on, all other bits on, keep the coil lead to the distritor cap off. Turn the engine over to get oil all inside where it should be and ......whoosh the engine bay went up in flames. The return petrol pipe burst spilling petrol all over the place and the spark from the coil lead blew it up.
As I had a full cuppa I threw in straight on to the fire then ran into the house to got the full kettle to throw on it.
Burnt the injectors, complete wiring and crank sensor.
I've re-wired the engine bay and replaced the burnt injectors, just have to find my spare crank sensor and hopefully that's it.
Never had a fuel pipe burst before and never want it again

Bloody hell, this motors pushing you to the limits isn't it.

Glad you caught it quickly, so easy for fuel fires to get out of control.

Wouldn't say its pushing me to the limits Lee, but the words 'break' and 'scrap' came to mind. I'm glad I caught it quickly aswell as my ZT was parked next to it

                    Update on the car
Fitted the replacement crank sensor and ......nothing, turned over and not starting.
Getting lots of spark so got to be fuel related.
Plugs are dry so no fuel getting in, checked fuel line in and out and plenty of fuel here. Removed the fuel rail and injectors, cover the injectors with a cloth and turn over, no fuel squirting out.
Change injectors then try again, now plenty of fuel squirting out. re-attached fuel rail and injectors and ......lift off and stop, try again and .....lift off then stop.
Starts and stops everytime so it's fuel related.
Removed the throttle body and all of the wires are charred to the autochoke so will have to get another.
At least it starts now and sounds great without the exhaust attached

Finally got a chance to have another look at this today in between the showers, summer huh.
                      Changed crank sensor,
                      Injectors
                      Throttle body
                      Pressure regulator
                      Distibutor cap
And no change so will have to re-check the burnt wiring again or replace it, which will check on it
Its a bit frustrating but I will get there

Leather seats removed, boot cleared out, exhaust removed. New exhaust in the boot so just have to get the replacement seats and door tomorrow and put them in during the week.
