  • My Purchase

Well after looking for a while for a mint Montego, I saw this and took the plunge, not quite what I was after but its so mint I couldent say no! The car is totally mint, all original paintwork and is totally solid, it was a Rover Management car hence the spec which includes leather then 1 owner since, comprehensive service history to confirm the genuine mileage of 21k!

I took these pictures with the centre caps off though

Im still looking for an Mg Montego though, so if anyone hears of one let me know

    Vitesse?

Very nice, shame about the centre's though.

Ive got the centre caps I just hadn't put them back on, I had to put 4 new tyres on it as they were the original tyres still

Its an SX, which was identical to the Vitesse except for the engine, this has the carb 1.6 not the efi. The SX had the lower ratio box, stiffer suspension and the Vitesse front and rear bumpers and rear spoiler that the Vitesse came with, the SX would not have had the Vitesse seats but this was fitted with leather from new anyway. Its a stunning little car that still looks and smells new!

Well done Mike on your purchase, looks brand new. Is this the one you told me about that you saw recently? Very nice indeed and superb spec and bet you are more than happy with it.

With regards to the Montego, you just don't know what could come out of the woodwork next week, what with all these older near mint Montego's appearing at the moment maybe there are a few MG's still tucked away in various places just waiting to appear, a bit like the white MG I have so keep your eyes open mate!

Yes Matt its the one I mentioned, nothing will change on the Montego front, ive set aside a good chunk of money ready for the right car, Im really pleased to have found this car, it really is like new, I think it will go very well with a white or red Mg Montego

Yes I thought it was the one you mentioned, I didn't realise it was up for immediate sale though but I'm pleased you got yourself a fantastic Rover car. This would look good pictured with my white facelift Montego as both the same age near enough.

That interior looks fabulous, even the drivers seat bolsters have hardly worn either, just the slight ageing which is the same in all my Jags.

Again with the Montego just bide your time mate, atleast you are ready and in the position to snap one up and one will come up.

Did you ever speak to the seller about that red one btw?

Agree with you there mate, is a shame as it was a really nice car that Montego, I'll see if I can make contact.
Again well done on your purchase, have you been out in it today?
