  • Heater matrix pipes group buy for maestro and montego

    Dear All,

As we know the heater matrix pipes that run from the engine bay into the car for maestro and montego are mild steel and are prone to rotting. They are also no longer available as new items.

I've had these re-made in copper to the original dimensions as a replacement for your scabby and leaky pipes. If you want the original look you can of course paint them black

Price is yet to be confirmed but I expect it to be around £50 and I need to work out the delivery costs etc.

I will try to negotiate a good price for a batch of these pipes to be made so who is interested? Please enter your name and number of pipes required. I'll give an update on pricing and postage before I start taking deposits.

    Group buy conditions :-
100% deposit required by either bank transfer or paypal (if you pay the fees). Sorry I'll need to pay the fabricator upfront - I hope you'll understand.
(Refundable if the group buy falls through).
Dates for payments and estimated time to manufacture will be confirmed in due course, (but I'd guesstimate at 6 weeks between opening of group buy and delivery of finished items).

Please only add your name to the list if you are happy with the above price and conditions.

Hi Dan, Im in need of 2 currently but this will be subject to the group buy being done a month away at least as all my resources are pinned to the funeral of my Lad currently.

If you plan to push this through sooner just knock me off the list and I'll jump on board it there's a later run.

                Regards

Can I have a set too, please? At that price it's too good an opportunity to pass by. Well done, Dan

As already mentioned, the O rings are BAU 5898 and are 60p each including VAT (2 are needed) from Rimmers.

Mine has a gasket rather than O-rings, is that what the very early cars had?

It's bodged up for now with araldite and jubilee clips to get the heater working, but a permanent repair would be much better!
