  • No Brakes

My maestro has been sat for around two years, and lastnight i moved it around a mile from my house to workshop, on the end of a 6ft rope with no brakes

Got it onto the workshop and onto the ramp, no sign of any brake fluid leeks and the mastercylinder still has some fluid in it, anyone have any ideas?

Where is the best place to source a mastercylinder as i think it is the seals that have gone?

Bigg Red do a seal kit for the master cylinder. If you've got a workshop manual its a fairly straightforward job, but you need the instructions on how to dismantle and reassemble.

I'd be checking the rear cylinders under the drums first as they often weep.

You've already had it on the ramp etc but double check the pipes near the plastic clips. Mine p*ssed fluid out due to the corrosion - only spotted it on the floor when I reversed it out with my handbrake as my friend

if the reservoir is full of fluid i would suspect the master cylinder. try bleeding the master cylinder and and slave cylinders if that does not work there are master cylinders on e-bay around £47
