        Apart from the odd year or two using a Rover 418 and a Honda Prelude, I've used Montego / Maestro diesels as everyday transport since the 1990s..and have no plans to use anything else...the others were just too thirsty

              I think the biggest issue when using classics as dailys is when they have been stood for any period of time, problems can occur months after re-using once a vehicle has been left to stand. If a vehicle has been in constant use or indeed a full and thorough recommissioning process then all should be well.

                Tiz true mine was stood about 8 years then I have used it April to September for the last 3 years and fingers crossed it's never let me down
