I fitted a spare front panel I'd painted the other day. I had to swap over the plastic panel that sits under the metal bumper.
I ended up cutting off two of the clips holding it to the old panel. I think they were screw in type clips but all the heads were rounded. I pushed out two but they were knackered anyway.
Had a look around and settled on mk1 golf grille trim clips as a replacement as they have an oblong head too like the ones I removed.
I bought eBay jobbies as they were cheap and just wanted to see if they fit. They do.
Not overly interesting, but couldn't find an exact match and didn't want to use one with a round head. The profile isn't exactly the same the head is marginally smaller, and it's a push pin type not a screw but much nearer than a round or square headed one.
Assuming the ones I removed were even original!
