Yes you will need clamps to hold the cam. I cut up an old cam cover when I rebuilt my sons engine and cylinder head and they worked a treat. Bit rough but they work and you can have if you want for just the post. You also might want to answer on your other post or I might be wasting my time in helping as I won't know if it's any help to you.
