  • My New Montego from 1989

Unfortunately I sold her in about 1991 having purchased new from Smacks in Southend-on-Sea.

Amazingly although she is still on the DVLA system the Date of liability expired on the 14th August 1998 !!!!!

Anyway photo taken on day of collection from Smacks.

Actually No! chosen from a list of registration numbers at the Rover dealers, now thinking back I should have kept it.
      Forgot to add it's a 2.0 DL.

I did wonder, with it being on a G plate and you buying it new in 94.
Could have meant it sat around pre reg'd for almost 5 years! LOL

I might be wrong but does it not mean that the photo was from 1994?

OK Guy's, put my brain back in!!! I miss read my list of 75 vehicles that I owned over the years and you are both right, vehicle was new in 1989 and not 1994.

So Thomas, photo was taken back in 1989. I will post up my Montego 1600L D reg that I part exchanged for G65 UAR.

            Sorry for all the confusion.

Although we purchased 4 new vehicles from Smacks back in the late 80's, we lived in Mayland which is near Maldon!
