  • MG Mont that may need saving....

My old 1987 MK1 MG Montego 2.0 efi (my second ever "m") could be up for sale ,shortly, but its in a sorry state now,top side up,the arches are badly repaired, theres a big massive crease in the rear door, most places are scabby, paint is not the best, tyres are flat,etc......but on a good point, its only done 69k miles (was 56k ,when i sold it some 6/7 years ago) and when i last looked,it was very solid underneath.....

Im waiting for the owner's to contact me,and its looks like they could be away on holiday....they have told my father (who goes drinking with them) that they want to sell it,and would i be interested in buying it back........

Im not looking to keep it,so i may try and buy it cheap, then scrap it,but if some one want to save it,then i could be persued to sell it on....Not a lot maybe a couple of hundred,i could even try and m.o.t it,as it may not need much.....

As for now,ill keep all posted on the outcome..........

Seen the owners ,who now say i can have it,when ever i want....so i feel i would like to pass it on,to a new home,in hoping that it either gets saved or all parts used for other montego's!!

Its had new rear arches, fitted last year, but badly painted with aerosols, and the car has mostly bubbling all over, but it is or was a strong shell, with no terminal rot yet!!!

Its also had new complete exhaust, new alternator, and new anti roll bar links!!!....It runs fine, but in much need of a service...

Again, tyres are flat, but will pump up,and although out of m.o.t,its still taxed and insured till end of july!!

Please now feel to pm,if your very interested in taking on this project/scrap car....

              Thanks dale...
