    My TR7V8 Rally Lookalike

    Hi, not been here for months. Still got Jum and will be staying that way but just no spare time to play with it yet. I've been busy sorting my TR7 and will hopefully be running by the summer. So far have done most of the welding needed, cut off the back arches and welded back to inners to accept the 10x13 Revolutions which will fill the tarmac arch extensions. The rear floor pan needed a bit od welding as did the front floor pan but the rest of the car is sound. I've stripped the back end and painted all the axle and suspension components and will hopefully have the axle back on at weekend complete with new poly bushes. Here's some pics so far.

                I'll keep you updated Sussex I'll try and get to POL in Jum this year Norman! These Montego Turbos are pretty scarce now (about a dozen on the road according to 'how many left') and he deserves some TLC and a trip out My TR7 has been on the backburner for a couple of decades! So this also deserves my attention! Watch this space!

                        It's the original 5 speed with 3.08 diff. The 5 speed axle was essentially an SD1item but shorter track.

                          Just a progress update, but getting there. Painting mostly done inside and out, ready for wiring loom and engine bay ancillaries!

                            Sump removed for cleaning and painting. Now ready to re-fit, but going to remove rocker covers and water pump for cleaning and then re-fit ready for fresh oil. Engine and gearbox were left insitu and just need a bit of a clean before re-fitting engine bay ancillaries.
