      Sorry to hear about your mishap John.
      I wish you well and a speedy recovery. Get well soon.
      You could be in for a long haul from what you have said. Ankle injuries as bad as that take time so don't expect too much of your self. At least you have age on your side and your keeping good company Sir Stirling Moss has just started driving again and competing. Keep your chin up. sincere regards.

        Good to hear you're home now, sounds like a horrific experience and it must be frustrating to put up with at the moment. We all wish you the best in your recovery.

            Just got back from the hospital, they've taken the sutures out and they're happy with the way the bones are healing. It's back in a cast for the next four weeks.

            Many thanks to all those who have expressed their best wishes. Finding it a bit of a shock being wheelchair-bound/bedridden. My compassion goes out to all those people who are like this permanently.
