Oh and a 1/3rd of your top posters to the forum are not members too.

I'd just like to say that nobody on the committee has any intention of making the forum members only.

the OP seems to have sparked a debate, but lets not get carried away!

One last thing from me. You lose Gforce, one of the major contributers and then quite a few of you would be stuck with broken cars that garages wouldn't be interested in fixing because they have attitudes like that. Arrrgh its just a maestro

no one on the committee wants to make the forum members only, there are far too many people out there with valuable info to offer that are not members for any number of reasons... also it's arguably the clubs biggest advert too...

it would be a massive loss to lose the input of people like Dan and Gary, to name just 2 people!

Definately no. Over the past few years I've been here I've seen many people sign up onto the forum to ask questions about their cars whether its mechanical or for help and guidance. Or even if their car is for sale and that car goes to the right home and not the scrapyard. It does help the cars.

The forum is for anyone, member or not.

Thanks to everyone who put forward their views which provides good feedback.I put the one line question on after I had read the posts regarding spares/club funds to buy them.I infact joined the club after finding a suitable maestro via the forum so it worked for me.Thanks all.

Agreed, the forum should stay open to non-members

                            Hi

Think its a great club and chance to be here as non member

but more than happy to join now think its a great way to get new members

without up front fee as some other clubs

great site great people keep as is

                            Ryan

this was a stupid thread to begin with. Main reason, both G force and ETV are registered users, what would this forum be without their advice and input? With thier advice they do more to actually keep the cars on the road than the club tbh.

Without the forum being open to non members I am not sure what Goldie's fate would have been, as it is because of the forum being open she does have future now I am having to stop driving. When I purchased Goldie almost three years ago she had been hidden away and I don;t think that she was known to the forum, again it is through the forum being open to non members that she is known about here.
