  • Looking to sell Complete 1.3 Maestro Special, and many Spares

    Hi all.

We are clearing my father-in-Law's home as he has had to move into a Nursing Home. Among his possessions is a G Registration 1.3 Maestro Special in Blue, and a whole heap of spare parts.

I am looking to sell the car and the parts either separately or together to help go towards his very expensive nursing care (for about 5 minutes). I suspect there are some good bits to this very sad car. It is complete and was running until 2012 when he declared it SORN and took it off the road. At the time, barring some corrosion, the only issue I know of is that it would start up and remain running if the key was turned, but as soon as you let go of the key, it dies.

If anyone knows what would cause this issue, then I reckon I can get the old girl running again pretty quickly, ready for sale, and it would make it easier to get it off the driveway and onto a trailer..

I have loads of photographs of the car if anyone is interested. Car is located in Mitcham, Surrey, CR4

Parts I've found so far include: Refurbed Driveshaft, Headlights, tail lights, indicators (all new, some boxed), Disks, brake pads, handbrake cables, throttle cables. distributor caps, spark plugs, seatbelts, exhaust tail sections, rear quarter repair panels, various bushes, condensers, plug leads, a rear screen etc. Nearly all of these are brand new and many are boxed.

I will put up a proper classified ad in due course, once I've worked through the several boxes of spares I've found.

    Cheers all

    Brendan
