  • Dutch Montego owner

    Hello,

I just joined your forum to share my Montego experiences and to gather information about the car.

I add a pic of the car I own since last Saturday. It's an 1.6 SL saloon built in 1990. Piantcode HNR Stone Grey. It has covered only 20.000kms and runs perfectly.

    Attention points are:
    - rusty wheel arches
    - headlining
    - cracked front bumper

It comes from Belgium, close to French border. Today I got my Dutch plates.
How is your red '90 Maestro? Any rust coming up?

Hi and welcome to the club and your Montego looks a lovely example. I believe you can still buy bumpers new if you can't find one in the colour you want, which could be nigh on impossible anyway.

Nice low mileage aswell, have you always been a fan and wanted a Montego?

            Matt

My Montego is now 'road legal'. The originally Belgian car has become Dutch licence plates!

Maybe some of you would be interested to see the Rover Estate 2.0i Clubman that I acquired a couple of months ago.....so here are a few pics.

In the Netherlands these cars were officially named 'Rover Estate' after 1992. My car was registered in March 1995 and has covered 57.000km.

                      Regards,
                      Guus

                        Now that is stunning !

I have a real soft spot for late monty estates.
