    hi.

Which emissions has it failed? HC or CO or both. Do you have the readings?

    Cheers, GForce

If it is the same guy who posted on facebook earlier it was CO >9.9%

yeah, apparently CO off scale; 9.9+, hydrocarbons 'all over the place'

There could be quite a few causes of high CO & HC

I would first be looking at what the fuel pressure reading is. Does it have a standard fuel pressure regulator fitted?

Check the coolant temp gauge is reading correctly

Check the fuel rail temp switch is not short circuit.

Check the camshaft timing is correct.

Does the engine also have a misfire?

Do the readings come down into scale on the fast idle test?

It is possible that the fuel injection ECU is faulty.

          Cheers,

          Gforce

cheers Gforce, plenty to think about there! it is all standard, have to check on fast idle reading. fuel temp switch sounds possible, would disconnecting it work? ie, make ecu think its open?

              Hi.

Yes that would work as long as there is not a short circuit in the associated wiring as opposed to the switch it's self.

              Cheers.

That is too high for the car running a warm up map.

Some late EFi's had cats so run a different set up, if it is one of these I'd be looking for leaks, especially in the exhaust system somewhere before the cat.
