  • Are these the correct calipers for my MG?

Would anyone be able to confirm if the below are the correct left and right calipers for my mg maestro turbo please? I am getting mixed up with the part numbers. PAW big brake kit has turned up, I used Brembo sport max discs to get the pcd re-drilled and mintex 1144 pads (the last ones available according to motobuild) and have ordered some steal braided brake lines, so hopefully it should spot a lot better when fitted!

GBC 150 looks like its for a solid brake disc, Turbo is vented. Correct part number is GBC102. The second link looks the correct part but as always check with the supplier, that part number is BAU4929
This is a LH, but again check with the supplier https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133736074...3ABFBM3pyC8P9f

Ok cheers Jeff. I have seen the below one is also refurbished so rubber seal should be in better newer condition. So will go for the one in your link and this one. I will ask the supplier but they sometimes gets things wrong on older cars. I definitely take it there is in no difference between 2.0 montego and maestro calipers?

Yes montego and maestro calipers are the same. As said please check first as they also get the LH and RH wrong. They don't understand if its a leading of trailing caliper.

Just messaged the advert in my link above which on looking again says right caliper in the title and nsf in the description and they have got back to me asking whether my calipers are leading or trailing. What does this exactly mean? Didn't realise trying to buy some brake calipers could be so confusing.

Leading means it bolts at the front of the hub, trailing means it bolts at the back. If you're buying both from both links it shouldn't be a problem as the look like each side. When I last bought a caliper the motor spares place got it wrong three times until I told then exactly what was needed.

Thanks for that Jeff, I have ordered them. Didn't get any joy off the sellers of the right caliper when asking. Just said you get what you see in the picture, shocking custom service Wouldn't have bought it off them if there was any other choice. Calipers seem to be the only part of the braking system that cannot just still be bought from local motor factors.
