  • Montego Coil Springs.

I have looked but can't find the info. What is the difference between the size/height of MG Montego coil springs to standard springs?

I appear to have (certainly for the front) a pair of each but didn't realise this till the proper front pair were on the car.

Thanks Jeff. The free length - is that the actual length of the spring?
I've never seen springs in any other colour than black or are those colours stated just small blobs on the spring?

The colour is just a blob of paint.

Yes paint blobs that may (or may not) be visible after so many years.

The free length is the uncompressed spring length, i.e. removed from the struts and sat on the floor.

Rear springs are different only, I think they are smaller diameter - but I think the details are in a post on here with all the spring info on it.
