  • Oval head round block

Hi All, can anyone tell me if an oval head will fit on a round block? Cheers

Measure it Gavin, should do though as the block only has a round hole. Its the head that's slightly different from memory. Or just put a headgasket gasket on the block and see if it lines up.

They line up Jeff, I presume I use an oval gasket?

Dave - the later turbo engines have an oval hole for the oil feed, earlier ones had a round hole! (From block to head)

Wrong way round Gavin. Early had oval headgasket face-lift had round. If the gasket lines up on both the head and block without restriction then you should be able to use it. Use a proper turbo gasket though
