  • Antifreeze fluid loss Montego

Hi I have a problem with a in my Montego through the heating duct. The loss occurs from the duct that enters the engine and goes to the heating. Can I get a new part? How could I solve it? Thank you very much for your help

That would be the joint into the matrix. The matix is plastic but the pipes are metal. There is either a flat gasket with two holes in it or two round rubber seals there depending on the age of the car.. The leak is either a rusted pipe or leaking gasket and the only way to find out is to remove the pipes.
At the back of the engine into the bulkhead are two heater pipes, remove those, using an allen key the are three screws that connect the pipes to the matrix, remove those, then remove the center screw the holds the pipes and remove. Then you will find out where the leak is coming from.
If you still need to use the car bridge the two pipes that go into the bulkhead and join together so it bypasses the heater

I have the same problem. Was it easy enough to get out? I hope it's just a slight weep on the gasket but I know the pipes are prone to corrosion

Good morning, It is quite easy to remove the piece, the position is not very comfortable. I had the part repaired at a radiator shop, it was in very bad condition with rust everywhere. I have installed it and it seems to work. In my case the loss was for the piece. The piece had no joints so it didn't leak there either. I hope my comments are useful. All the best,
