I will be adding to this, but the first one I've found is that the diff bearings in all of the VW gearboxes (4speed, 5 speed and automatic) Rover part number BAU 2570, bearing manufacturer's part number LM29749 / LM29710, is the same as a Freelander 1 rear diff bearing (to vin 2A374724) part number TZZ 100170. The bearings are not hard to find, as they are the same as a lot of VW gearboxes, finding overpriced Chinese made ones seems a lot easier than finding quality ones though, the Freelander bearing on the other hand generally seems to be made by Timken in France and quite reasonably priced.

Next is the input shaft needle bearing, BAU2456, seem to have cone from two manufacturers, INA and FAG. FAG number is 310-3955B, INA number is F-52867, dimensions: shaft 22mm, housing 30mm, width 18mm. VW part number 002311125A . Seems to have been used on a variety of VWs including T1 and T2 so unlikely to vanish from the shelves anytime soon.

Diff oil seals are fairly easy to find, unless you have a very early gearbox built before 30 June 1983. The part number for these early seals is BAU 2443, the VW number is 020 301 189E (the E is more important than you'd think!) Dimensions 36x58x15/9.5mm. I couldn't find an exact match, but an Elring 044.881 is 36x58x15 so will do the job, but without the sticky out bit. Searching for 020301189 came up with a variety of incorrect parts with a variety of suffix letters....
