    Countryman

Thanks for your compliments. The original steering wheel's leather was totally rotten, I found this brand new leather bound one on ebay hence the colour mismatch. I think the colour is mink which was used on the late VP.Otherwise it's all original. I bought it from a dealer who told me the (one) previous owner had traded it for an Astra. He must have had a mad moment!

      New Wheels

I have fitted a nice set of MGF wheels now and I think they look very smart. No more pumping up the tyres every three days. Hooray. The original wheels were quite badly corroded inside and the nuts had had it. I've put a picture on the album.

Saw the car in the photos section with the new wheels fitted , looks good , maybe me but never saw the answer to your original question , were they a straight fit with no mods or spacers , and what size are they ?

As Stephen says they did go straight on. It took an hour including getting the rotten old wheelnuts off. The tyres are 215 45 x 16. I did wonder if there'd be a clearance problem at full lock but no problems at all. Thanks Stephen by the way, very pleased with them.
