if using the mat make sure there is no rust or damp penetration as this mating will hold dampness or rain water behind the mating and rot from below, but im sure none of you have rust or dampness ???

Vauxhall usually put them in the corners of the dash and there stereos usually sound quite good for standard equipment

That's a good place to put them too. The high notes bounce off the windscreen at the correct height for good stereo imaging!
