  • [Wanted] For Montego SLX Turbo Restoration

    I have a huge list needed for the resto of the SLX Turbo. Its gonna take me a while to do. But it will get there in the end.

    Quiet a few pannels are salvageable but id prefer to replace rather than repair.


    Bodywork:

    Bonnet - Sourced..
    LH wing - Sourced
    RH wing - Sourced
    4x doors
    Door rubbing strips
    Spoiler - Sourced
    Front bumper support legs x2

    Interior: Many of the pannels have been sprayed a grey colour and need to return to original.

    Heater control surround - Sourced
    Ash tray - Sourced
    Door buckets - Sourced
    Handbreak handle and rubber - Sourced
    Blank for rhs dash next to coin tray.

    Engine bay:


    Additional touches
    Rear electric windows


    No doubt there are more that i will need over time.

    Had all them parts and thrown them out now......

    Have a bonnet in Henley blue,in absolute cracking nick....may have the little scratch or dent,but no rust whatsoever......make me offer...but you have to send courier mate!!

    Its all down to mal now and jeff to supply most of those bits otherwise!!

      I have a complete set of white door rubbing strips somewhere in my spares, they are used but in good condition.
      Rear leccy switches are at the rear of the centre consol

        Hi Stephen, the grey paint should just rub off with thinners. Can't remeber what it was but I think I used Halfords interior trim spray of some sort, but I remember it rubbing off the door pockets due to friction so I reckon thinners should see it off.

          Can't find the rubbing strips Stephen so I must have already sold them

                Hi Stephen - I probably have most of the parts you require - but the mg monty I am breaking is black in colour. I can take pictures of the parts that you want - just let me know? I'm in Dumfries so not too far from you.

                  Additional touches
                  Rear electric windows
                  There was a seller on Ebay called Majic Metro that was selling several trim bits.

                  I have a facelift ashtray, not new but fine.
