I don't think you can do that, it's pre set. I'm guessing you checked it visually to see it's working as suggested previously? If so and the small rod it moving wouldn't think it's that. You could remove the stepper, check to see if the seals are seated correctly or change them but that would normally be affected on cold start up. Did you also try removing the plenum etc after it had stopped working ? The car will run with the plenum off. If you give me you details etc I will post the fast checks up

These are my fast checks. Lucas checks the electric side crank sensor, knock sensor, temp sensor, coil and plugs into the ignition ECU. Fuel checks the throttle sensor, coolant sensor, air temp sensor, stepper motor, coil, solenoid and plugs into the fuel ECU. The other plug with the fuel checker is for checking fast idle and plugs in the temp sensor connection and ambient sensor connections with that small price of metal that bypasses the ambient sensor. They're both complete with instructions so might put you in the right direction if a part is faulty. Test cold before start up and after it's conked out. Fuel ECU is on the top of the glove box drop down panel. If these show nothing I'm guessing you have a fuel issue so try the fuel/easy start at the back of the carb etc that I've mentioned as that would show you if no fuel getting to the manifold to fire the plugs regardless of fuel pressure. Just a thought as I haven't seen the engine to rule it out, you do have the heat shield on the car under the carb don't you? You probably do but thought I'd ask
I've just read through the first issues you put on with the car as you mentioned over fueling in your other thread. On turning the ignition on I'm guessing the fuel pump primes? Does it then stop before you try to start the car? As you also mentioned the fuel cut off isn't working I'm wondering if it's been bypassed? Im also putting the issue back to your original thread as it's getting confusing with two threads
