  • Van sill on ebay (os)

Looks to be a pattern one, as it is full length. I'd have bid on it myself, but it is collection only from Birmingham. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284103843641?ul_noapp=true

Good point, but it'd be greed really, I just checked and I've got enough for what I need already. Might be useful information for someone that has a holey sill and no spares though....

I might have a bid on that if the price doesn't go too silly. Not only would it be much better that the home-made monstrosities that the previous owner of my Tandy fitted, there is a company local me that would be able to use that new sill as a pattern to make some more.
              1983 (Y) MG 1600
1985 MG EFi with digital dash (owned since 1987)
              1987 700 City 1.6 Van
              1988 Tandy camper 2.0D
1990 Advantage, just 29k on the clock
              1990 Clubman D
              1990 MG 2.0i (spares donor)

              (all Maestros)

              Daily drive: Rover 25 GTi

Weekend rave: Honda Civic Type R GT

Current projects: Allegro 1.7HLS, Allegro Equipe

I wouldn't bet on it being a perfect fit, the genuine ones stop at the b pillar & the ebay one looks to be a copy of that, but with an extension spot welded on the back to reach the back wheelarch. I've seen one before that looked similar & that's how it was done...

If only we'd known what was going to happen, Hadrian panels were based just down the road from here, iirc sills such as that were £20-£30 in the nineties...would have been a brilliant investment...
